MBCE’s engineers have significant experience of acting as structural engineers and designers on a range of residential structures.

This has covered several different types of projects including: New build multi-storey apartment and mixed apartment / commercial developments in city centres; Combined new build houses and conversion of agricultural buildings in rural locations; Conversion of existing town and city centre buildings to residential with associated new build; New build houses and apartments on tight town centre sites.

Helical,Barteak City Centre Apartments, Birmingham Nottingham, Wolverhampton

Structural design (association) of the development of large mixed commercial and retail schemes (lower levels in most cases) with apartments over city centre sites – currently in design development.  Some designs incorporate innovative load bearing wall construction.

 

Bullocks Row Walsall

Structural design of new build apartments in tight town centre site with some complex retaining wall and  basement structures adjacent to highways.

 

Warwick House, Malvern; Robinsons Building Birmingham; Windsor Street Leamington Spa; Dennis Hall Stourbridge

Structural design of conversion of various existing retail, storage, manufacturing and office buildings from dilapidated condition to apartments with elements of new build on steeply sloping site. Each of these buildings was listed.

Developments of new build apartments and houses in traditional masonry construction.

Conversion of existing agricultural buildings to houses with associated new build and extensions.
